Keynote Address by Mr. Henry Cisneros, CEO and Chairman, American City Vista

Sunbelt Builders Show 2002 is proud to feature Henry Cisneros, CEO and Chairman of American City Vista as the keynote speaker in Dallas. Mr. Cisneros will provide insight to the emerging and significant Hispanic market that will have sizable impact on the home building industry in the Southwest over the next ten year. Mr. Cisneros will provide key marketing strategies and impressive statistics that will change your marketing goals and will create new opportunities for everyone in the home building industry.

As the founder and chairman of American City Vista, Henry Cisneros brings executive and urban planning experience to the home building joint venture he formed with KB Home in August, 2000. Previously, Cisneros was President and Chief Operating Officer of Univision Communications in Los Angeles, the Spanish-language broadcaster that has become the fifth-most-watched television network in the nation. From 1993 to 1997, Cisneros served as the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Description: Designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish, Buffalo Creek has been rated the #1 best public course in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Having received a Four Star Rating from Golf Digest "Places to Play", the course offers Bentgrass greens and Bermuda grass fairways. The overall design strategy of the course was to make every golfer use every club in the bag.

Enjoy the afternoon visiting with building professionals from across the Sunbelt region while playing golf at this challenging course. Entry fees include green fees, cart, range balls, drinks, prizes, $10,000 cash hole-in-one prize, chances to win trips to Europe and Florida, plus lots of fun. Transportation will be provided from the Hyatt Reunion Hotel. Shot-gun start but an individually based tournament with a Callaway scoring system.

Description: Ten years ago, the Texas Association of Builders launched the Texas Star Awards - the only statewide tribute to excellence in the home building industry. The awards program has gained national attention due to the exceptional homes, remarkable merchandising and inventive marketing programs. This year, the Star Awards has expanded to include states from across the Sunbelt region of Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico. The event will showcase the work of the finalists in 58 categories.
